Damascus Filleting Knife (Mosaic Damascus)
Forged from a combination of O2 and 15N20 steels and hardened to 62 HRC, the blade reveals its characteristic explosion pattern during etching – a vivid, repeating image that is unique to each knife. No two mosaic Damascus knives are alike. What emerges here is not a mass-produced item, but a unique piece with its own character.
The thin, flexible blade is made for precise filleting – it follows the bone, glides through fish flesh, and allows for clean, effortless cuts that no other knife can achieve.
The handle – a natural work of art in itself
Stabilized figured birch: The wood, with its wild, irregular grain, is permanently strengthened and sealed through the stabilization process. The result is a handle that not only looks exceptional but also remains dimensionally stable and durable even in moisture – ideal for use with fish and moist foods.
Care
Since the steel is not stainless, it's important to dry it carefully and oil it lightly after use. This will keep the blade sharp and beautiful for a long time.
